Terms of Service

The terms for using WebRadioRadar as a listener or a broadcaster.

These terms govern the use of WebRadioRadar (“the Service”), operated by Bastian Jobst (see Imprint). By using the Service you agree to them.

1. What WebRadioRadar is

WebRadioRadar is a curated directory of English-language internet radio. It lets listeners discover stations and play their public audio streams on the site. We are a directory, not a broadcaster: we do not produce, host or control the audio content of the streams.

2. Using the Service as a listener

  • Listening is free. Streams are delivered by the respective broadcasters and may change or become unavailable at any time.
  • You agree not to misuse the Service, interfere with its operation, scrape it at scale, or use it in a way that breaks applicable law or third-party rights.
  • Station content is the responsibility of the broadcaster, not of WebRadioRadar.

3. Listing a station (broadcasters)

  • To list a station you must register an account and provide accurate details (station name, stream URL, homepage, genre, country, description).
  • You confirm that you are entitled to operate the stream and hold all necessary licences and rights (including music royalties) for the content you broadcast.
  • Backlink requirement. A listed station must place and maintain a followable link to WebRadioRadar on its own website, as described on the backlink page. We verify it automatically after registration and from time to time afterwards. If the link is missing, we may pause the listing after notifying you by email.
  • We verify that streams play, so listeners always reach live audio. Stations that are persistently offline or that violate these terms may be paused or removed.
  • Listing is free. Optional promoted placement is offered separately under the terms quoted at the time of booking.

4. Content and removal

You are solely responsible for the content of your stream and the data you submit. We may edit, pause or remove any listing at our reasonable discretion — for example for inaccurate details, a missing backlink, a dead stream, legal complaints, or breach of these terms. We will usually contact you first where practical.

5. Accounts

Keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may close your account at any time by contacting us; we will remove your listing subject to any legal retention obligations.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. The Service is provided “as is”. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time.

7. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and under the German Product Liability Act, as well as for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation (a duty whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible at all), and then only for foreseeable, contract-typical damage. Any further liability is excluded. We accept no liability for the content, availability, legality or licensing of third-party streams and websites linked or embedded through the directory.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the Service changes or for legal reasons. The current version published here applies to your use of the Service.

9. Governing law & jurisdiction

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. Where permitted by law, the place of jurisdiction is the operator's registered seat.
